Taylor Hawkins met budding drummer who serenaded him just days before his death
On Tuesday night, Emma Sofía set up her drum kit on the sidewalk and started playing it outside of the Foo Fighters' hotel in Retiro, Buenos Aires. The nine-year-old delighted the other fans who'd gathered outside the Sheraton Asunción to try and get a glimpse of the rock band.
During the early hours of Wednesday morning, after hearing about the little girl drumming on the sidewalk for him, Taylor went outside to search for her. The sweet moment - which went viral - came just days before Taylor was found dead aged 50 in a hotel room in the north of Bogota, Colombia.
