I am all too UNwell. 😭🥺😭🥺 AllTooWellTheShortFilm

as the song's ill-fated couple, the film opens with a shot of the pair in bed together. Sadie asks him: "," which leads into the song's opening chords...and basically about the time you can all expect to start needing tissues. I mean, you didn't expect to make it more than five seconds without crying, right? Let's be honest.

The film spans several chapters of the pair's relationship, beginning with that infamous red scarf and their magical road trip — "". But what starts as wildfire of attraction quickly morphs into "the first crack in the glass." We see the couple at a dinner party where Dylan's character blatantly ignores Sadie's, even going as far as to drop her hand when she tries to hold it at the table. After the party, the pair has an intense fight while washing dishes — one that truly shows the flaws in their relationship right away, along with all the ways she'll eventually be hurt by him. Dylan's character claims he just wanted to catch up with friends; Sadie explains how alone she felt, not knowing anyone.

We then see Sadie's character emotionally tormented by their once-passionate love that ultimately unraveled into heartbreak. The new verses detail a lonely 21st birthday and endless regret, constantly looking backwards. One title card is aptly called "The Reeling," capturing some of the song's most vulnerable lyrics.

In true Taylor fashion, however, the film takes an unexpected turn toward the end. After the words "thirteen years gone" flash across the screen, we see the singer-songwriter herself as an author at a book-signing event. Naturally, her novel's title isa storyteller, after all. And as the camera pans out toward the very end of the film, we see a faceless man peering in through the bookstore window in the snow. Around his neck? The red scarf "from that very first week.
