The nation's two largest teachers unions spent their summer conferences training their rank-and-file members on how to incorporate ideas of gender, sexuality, and critical race theory into the classroom, according to a new report.
The Defense of Freedom Institute, a conservative think tank, outlined the programs and training sessions held by the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association during their respective summer conferences in a report titled"Summer of Woke, The Sequel.
Not to be outdone, the NEA furnished its members with a"pronoun guide" that listed"ze""zim" and"zir" on a list of"most common pronouns." Zimmerman likewise called the things put forth during NEA's summer programs"totally inappropriate" and noted that the organization has a congressional charter.
