BREAKING Teenager dies after being struck by truck in Mayo as gardai say road to remain closed overnight
The collision, involving the pedestrian and truck, happened on the Neale to Cong Road shortly before 5pm.
The scene has been sealed off, with gardai saying they expect the road to remain closed overnight. Local diversions are in place. “The collision, which involved a truck and a pedestrian, occurred on the R345, The Neale to Cong road, shortly before 5pm. The pedestrian, a male teenage juvenile, was fatally injured during the collision. His body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
