Teen in National City shooting was sister to 2020 Bonita shooting victim [Breaking]
The 16-year-old girl fatally shot last weekend in National City was the sister of young woman killed in a 2020 shooting in Bonita, police confirmed Wednesday.Friday night while standing with a group of teens outside a Halloween party on East 17th Street near Palm Avenue. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries, National City police said.
A GoFundMe page set up in the aftermath of the 2020 shooting claimed that Del Valle had been in the parking lot to defend her sister, who was being bullied online.to voluntary manslaughter and a gun-use allegation in connection to Del Valle’s death. He was sentenced to 10 years in state prison and is parole eligible in 2027, according to the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
