The loosehead replaces Connacht's injured Jordan Duggan in the Emerging Ireland Tour.

Emerging Ireland have called up Ireland U20 and Leinster Academy loosehead prop Alex Usmanov to replace Jordan Duggan who has been ruled out of the tour to South Africa.

Usmanov, who had yet to make his Leinster debut, is a product of Malahide RFC's under-age section, been part of Clontarf's AIL squad and made five appearances for Ireland U20s last season. Duggan will return to Connacht to continue his rehabilitation on an ankle injury sustained during training. The three-match Emerging Ireland series, which is being overseen Simon Easterby as Head Coach, will be shown live on Super Sport and will be available on the new IRFU streaming platform IrishRugby+ at plus.irishrugby.ie
