We could be in for a white Christmas
The winter weather has well and truly arrived as Met Eireann warns temperatures are to plummet from Wednesday onwards. We may be in for a white Christmas after all as the national weather forecast has warned of frost and temperatures as low as 0 degrees are to hit the country in the coming days.
The low temperatures will continue into Sunday, which will see a cold, breezy day with scattered showers spreading westwards. Although temperatures may rise to 5 to 8 degrees during the day, rain will return overnight alongside frost in lows of 0 to 4 degrees.“Monday will be mostly cloudy with further showers and possibly longer spells of rain in the east and south. The best of any bright or sunny spells will be in the west.
This comes after a weather phenomenon known as the Greenland Block is set to arrive in Europe, allowing for the much colder weather.
