After several months of negotiating, Temple University Hospital union workers reportedly have reached a deal with a new three-year contract. Hence, the union avoided their vote to strike.

A combination of an estimated 2,500 nurses, hospital technicians and other healthcare workers worked without a deal since Sept. 30, but the contract agreement was settled on Monday evening, according toTemple University Hospital Nurses Association and Temple Allied Professionals union workers started negotiations in August. The union workers are part of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, representing over 8,000 healthcare workers in Pa.
