Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders has caught the eye of Manchester United scouts as Erik ten Hag was criticised by Graeme Souness over his spending on former Eredivisie stars
Manchester United are monitoring Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders after Erik ten Hag faced fresh criticism for the volume of former Eredivisie players he has signed.
Reijnders starred for AZ Alkmaar across five seasons in the Netherlands before joining Milan this summer and being capped at international level. The midfielder has impressed in 10 appearances for the Rossoneri and is already being linked with a move to Old Trafford. Liverpool legend Graeme Souness says that Ten Hag doesn't deserve a "free pass" after signing so many players from the Eredivisie. The Scot told the United boss to expect scrutiny from Sir Jim Ratcliffe over his transfer dealings.
"I read a couple of days ago that Erik ten Hag has welcomed the arrival of Ratcliffe because he is frustrated with recruitment," the former Liverpool captain and manager has claimed.
