Tesla recalls 30,000 Model X SUVs for airbag fault.
SUVs won’t need to bring their vehicles to a service center for this recall. The electric vehicle automaker will instead be rolling out an over-the-air software update to correct the issue, which requires an internet connection to download and install.
Tesla also confirmed that every Model X currently in pre-delivery containment or active production will receive the updated software aimed at resolving this latest airbag-related issue. This is not the first time that the popular Model X has faced a recall notice in 2022. Earlier this month, overvehicles were recalled due to the potential risk of power steering assist failure after driving through sections of rough pavement or a violent pothole strike.
If you happen to own one of the affected Model X SUVs, be sure to acknowledge any message regarding an update that should be coming your way.Born and raised in Metro Detroit, associate editor Lucas Bell has spent his entire life surrounded by the automotive industry.
