The Texans are dealing with some injuries to key players.
Rookie linebacker Christian Harris suffered a shoulder injury in the first half against the Dolphins and did not return to the game. Smith said he did not know the extent of the injury and hoped to learn more Monday.
Meanwhile, running back Rex Burkhead suffered a head injury in the fourth quarter, when he fell awkwardly after being hit in the air while trying to catch a pass.Harris and Burkhead are both key contributors to this team. The Texans often like to use Burkhead on third downs. Harris has started at linebacker since Week 9 against the Titans. He had 19 tackles in five games this season. The Texans would likely turn to second-year linebacker Garret Wallow, who was inactive Sunday, if Harris misses time.
