TG4 are expanding its offering with the launch of a new dedicated children’s channel, Cúla4, on the 8th of September, and a TG4+1 channel.
The Irish language station has enjoyed a successful year with the global success of Oscar-nominated An Cáilín Ciúin and the growing popularity of Irish content worldwide.
“TG4 also plays an important and growing role as a public service broadcaster at a time when the needs of the values of public service within the broadcasting ecosystem are increasingly evident. Some of the highlights among the documentary series’ coming this autumn on TG4 is Rúin na bPortach, which is a series about the bogs and peatlands of Ireland and the world, and Misneach, a documentary series that explores the stories of people and communities who have faced challenges in their lives.
In sport, there is exclusive live games for all sports fans with GAA Beo, as well as live games from the Allianz Leagues, the club championships, Ladies' Football, underage grades as well as second and third level. Rugbaí Beo and Rugbaí na mBan are also back, as well as a new series of Underdogs.
