Outside the UK, Olivier Ponti, Vice President of Insights at travel industry trends analyst ForwardKeys highlights the destinations that seeing the most flight cancellations for flights from the UK , with Egypt and the Czech Republic highest at five per cent, followed by Hungary , Denmark, Netherlands, Italy and France .

Bernard Lavelle, principal aviation consultant at BL Aviation Consulting, says these schedules should be “far more resilient”. It is likely that many flights will be removed but passengers will know well in advance and be able to look for alternative services.
