The average age of mothers giving birth in 2022 was 33.2 years according to new data from the Central Statistics Office

There were 781 babies born to teenagers in 2022, up 10.0% from 2021 when 710 babies were born. The report said there were 54,483 babies born in Ireland in 2022, which is 6,092 fewer babies than in 2021.
