Autumn is arguably the most beautiful time of the year for a walk, and one Scottish beauty spot in particular is a great place to head if you want to immerse yourself in the colours of the season.
No matter what time of the year you head out into the Scottish wilderness for a walk or hike, it is almost guaranteed to be stunning.
The historical conservation area is a popular beauty spot, and for good reason — with the view out across the gorge from the Category B-listed Garry footbridge being a particular hotspot for photographers. As well as its glorious walks, the Pass of Killiecrankie is also a great destination if you're a history buff. This is because it is situated near the site of the 1689 Battle of Killiecrankie, in which an outnumbered Jacobite force overcame a Government army.

One autumn visitor wrote: "As far as the scenery is concerned nothing much has changed since I first reviewed Killiecrankie on Tripadvisor back in December 2010 and it is still one of the best places to admire Scotland’s autumnal glory if you get the timing right."
