Where's the best place to grab a sandwich in Lancashire? That's the question we asked readers ahead of National Sandwich Day, last week. We've had hundreds of suggestions from you all with suggestions covering the whole country from Lancaster to Burnley and everywhere in between.
Over in Morecambe, Martin Pyle rates Tomlinson's on Forestgate at the White Lund Industrial Estate. He said: "Excellent hot and cold food." Also, in Preston, Kerfoots on Longridge Road, got the thumbs up from Kath Barnes and Linda Crossley Weare. Linda said: "Best butties in Preston, Kerfoots." Brenda Mcallister's favourite is Big Butts on Church Street, Blackpool, she said: "Amazing fresh sandwich what I call proper meat on sandwich as cooked inshop, kind and friendly staff, nothing is to much trouble for them ,will create what you want, on the sandwich."
Other mentions include Peppermill Cafe on Birley Street, Blackpool; Waywell Bakery on Grasmere Road in Blackpool; Slice Sandwich Box on Red Bank Road in Bispham; and Street Eatery on Lawsons Road in Thornton Cleveleys. Commenter jong went for Nice Bites on Burnley Road in Padiham, while Cheryl O'Connoer and Emma Booth both shouted out Birtwistle's Bakery at Central Buildings in Padiham. The Panini Press in Whitworth got Simon Milnes and Molly Cross' votes, with Molly saying: "Best around by far!!"
