Struggling to get the sleep you need? There's tech for that.
Another temperature regulating device, the Moona cooling system is a pad that slips into your pillowcase and connects to a tank on your bedside table that cools and pumps water. While it won’t chill your whole body, it does very effectively cool your head. It’s like always having the cool side of the pillow, but without the need to turn it. I found this very effective during the hot summer, and with the fan set to run constantly, it doubled as a white noise machine.
The Moona is an expensive device, and the software is flaky. I was not impressed by the sleep tracking. While the design is quite attractive, it needs quite a bit of space, and the tube running into your pillow looks odd. The pad itself isn’t that comfortable, and some people might find the noise disturbing. You have to change the water quite frequently, or it gets smelly, and it’s a guddle to clean and refill. It also only really helps when it’s too warm.
