The Boston Symphony Orchestra has cancelled its upcoming European tour, due to concerns over rising COVID-19 cases in Europe and the U.S.
Additionally, there has been an increase in COVID-19 cases among members of the orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus after recent Symphony Hall performances.
"Sadly, the only prudent and responsible course of action is, with deep regret, to cancel the European tour,” said BSO President and CEO Gail Samuel in the statement.
