A very unfortunate error
The Chase has an enduring popularity in Ireland built on the back of excellent host Bradley Walsh, some loveably annoying chasers, and a reliance on people's belief that they're smarter than the contestants on television.
The Chase is pre-recorded and can often be broadcast weeks or months after the episode is initially filmed, meaning that it's surely difficult to keep track of what questions are asked. In a highly unfortunate turn of events, the episode of The Chase aired on Monday featured a question about The Prodigy, just a few hours after the death of the lead singer. The possible answers were: A) The Prodigy, B) Pretenders or C) The Proclaimers.
