The Crown season 5 stars break down Princess Margaret's 'thrilling' confrontation with the Queen
"I absolutely loved doing that scene. It's such a highlight for me," said Manville, who took over the role from Helena Bonham Carter."I've known Imelda for many, many decades, and we're friends, and it's just wonderful when you go on set, and you know you've got this big, important scene in the storytelling of Margaret and Elizabeth.
"I just knew that we were going to have a really good day. We'd been shooting [the series] for a while by then, but it was probably the most significant scene together that we had to shoot. So, you just get that thrill, you know? And the script was so good, I enjoyed learning it so much, and just getting my head around it," she concluded.
Staunton, who assumed the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Olivia Colman, said the scene was great despite"not having much to say", describing it as a"great piece of writing".
