Wallenstein received the Luminary Award for Career Achievement from the Los Angeles Press Club in 2017. He was an on-air contributor for NPR’s All Things Considered. He also hosted the PBS series “Variety Studio: Actors on Actors” as well as TV Guide Channel’s “Square Off,” a weekly primetime series about the TV industry.
