looked elegant in a white Alexander McQueen coat dress at the Queen's Birthday Parade, the Trooping of Colour in London today .
Kate teamed the understated outfit with a navy blue and white hat by Philip Treacy as she lead the procession with her children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, in a carriage on Horse Guards Parade. The 40-year-old royal also wore a pair of Princess Diana's sapphire and diamond earrings and necklace which matched her iconic 12-carat oval Ceylon sapphire engagement ring, which also belonged to the late princess. The earrings were a wedding gift, following her royal wedding to William in 2011.
The Duchess of Cornwall, wearing Bruce Oldfield and a Philip Treacy hat, joined the Cambridge family as George, Charlotte and Louis made their carriage debut.Charlotte was spotted restraining little brother Louis as he continued to wave enthusiastically at the crowds who have gathered by St James's Park and The Mall.
The Cambridges are joining the monarch on Buckingham Palace's balcony as Her Majesty takes the royal salute alongside Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
