The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thinking of their sister-in-law from afar. Hours after the Princess of Wales shared the news that she had been diagnosed with cancer, the couple issued a statement of support: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.” The comment echoes the ones made by the Princess herself.
” Meanwhile, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson says that King Charles is “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did”. The King is also undergoing treatment for cancer and has “remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks”. The Prime Minister also responded to the Princess’s public acknowledgement of her diagnosis. “She has shown tremendous bravery with her statement today,” Rishi Sunak posted on X.
