The Lotus Pond – lily bulb, nasturtium, goji berry, seaweed, tremella, lotus seed and basil seedprovides a modern take on plant-based Buddhist cuisine. Choose from one of three tasting menus, with culinary delights including glass beakers of delicate mushroom broths, aubergine rolls filled with jielan and lotus pond-inspired dishes made with lily bulbs, guanyin leaves and goji berries. Stone panels, sliding lattice screens and Qing-dynasty artworks round off a serene dining experience.
Founded by plant-based concept store owner Emma Sawko, Wild & The Moon is a vegan go-to in Dubai. With local, organic and ethically sourced ingredients used wherever possible, Sawko serves seasonal dishes alongside an array of cold-pressed juices. From wild-truffle pizza on coconut crust with cashew and almond to gluten-free orange-blossom pancakes served with homemade coconut whipped cream, this is one of the UAE’s healthiest hotspots. There are also branches in Amsterdam and Paris.
