Dominic Cooper, offame, is adept at suggesting the turmoil beneath the smooth surface of the crooked brief, to the degree that one wishes other characters could refrain from spelling out his motivations quite so clearly. Tom Cullen gives a subtle and intelligent performance as the cunning Brummie gold dealer.
