Meanwhile, Ji-suk records a conversation with his former employer, Woo-byeok, to help Kang-ho nail him in court. As the business mogul threatens to kill him too, Kang-ho arrives on the roof with officers who arrest Woo-byeok for "special assault and attempted murder." That's not all though. Ha-young also opens up about her father's corrupt behaviour, which he then twists around against her by claiming she's mentally ill. Undeterred by all this, Ha-young then tells the court that both her father and Woo-byeok are both responsible for Hae-sik's death and the subsequent cover-up.Kang-ho brings in the child of Tae-soo's former employee to stir up more drama which ends up being too much for Tae-soo who then tries to flee the court.
Halfway through, Kang-ho realises that his mother has died but he keeps on singing through the tears, his voice cracking as he says "See you later," like Kang-ho's father would always say to Young-soon. "Goodbye" was too final for him, and it's too final for Kang-ho now.
