You don’t need to spend a fortune on beauty products to get a glowing complexion –transform your skin by eating healthy foods which are packed full of essential nutrients

With weather on the way, we can’t wait for barbecues, beer gardens, summer weddings and holidays in the coming months. We’re so excited to come out of hibernation, but after a long winter our skin may not exactly be feeling radiant.

But if you want to glow from the inside out, you can give your skin a boost by making sure you’re getting enough of all the vitamins and minerals you need.Take a look at some of the heavy hitters below… Vitamin E Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects your skin against sun damage, helping to prevent dark spots and wrinkles. Normally, the body produces vitamin E through sebum, an oily substance that comes out through your pores and keeps your skin moisturised. If you have dry skin, vitamin E could help counteract this. Like vitamin D, it’s also ananti-inflammatory, so it helps with acne and other skin conditions.

Vitamin C An antioxidant that protects against free radicals, vitamin C may help slowdown the signs of ageing, prevent sun damage, promote collagen production and improve the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots and acne. It’s found in foods like citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes, and broccoli, or can be taken as a supplement.
