The Lancashire football club playing at rivals ground and fighting for survival
The chairman of a football club that has been left without a home says they just need to 'get back on home soil and we will be okay'.
Gordon told the ECHO: “Historically Burscough and Skelmersdale have a rivalry it would be like Liverpool having to play at Goodison Park. Because we have not got our own home as we are struggling to compete financially at that level. Everything we make in sponsorship is going on ground hire. Burscough plays three divisions below Skelmersdale United - who will now have put in £5,000 to help renovate Burscough's ground because it didn't meet the standards.
Like with all clubs, it's all about the fans. People religiously watch games and hopes and dreams rest on the success or failure of the team they support. One such fan is Andrew Bergquist who started attending games with his son Lucas two years ago.
