And Twitch finally comes to the VR headset
update is here, with a bunch of minor improvements that should make using your VR headset a little easier.– that lets you use hand tracking to ‘touch’ and swipe virtual menus – this patch’s stand-out feature will make it easier to keep your favorite games and apps updated.
Now when you got shut your headset down, on the power off menu you’ll see a toggle to “Update before powering off.” If this toggle is on, your headset will update any software that has an uninstalled patch before properly powering down – helping to reduce the amount of time you’ll have to spend waiting for downloads to complete in the future before you can enjoy a VR experience. Make sure to plug your headset in though, otherwise, it might run out of juice before the download finishes.
A much more minor change in v53 is that your Quest 2 and Quest Pro’s improved camera settings – which were introduced in a previous update and allow you to change the aspect ratio and bit rate of your VR recordings – are no longer Experimental Settings. Instead you’ll find the Advanced Camera Settings exclusively in the Camera Settings page, making it even easier to record videos the way you want.
An extra little update you might also notice is that recordings will now feature stereo instead of mono – giving your VR videos a more immersive experience. The v53 Meta Quest update also includes a few changes for the Meta Quest Browser which lets you surf the web in VR. Firstly, you can now watch Twitch in the browser. Whether you want to watch your favorite streamer play
