“For a lot of families, you live in a family of five, six, seven people in a one-bedroom apartment,” says Macedo do Nascimento. “You [might] have one sibling who would qualify for DACA, so everybody pulls their money together to have that one person apply. Or sometimes people have to choose which person in the family out of three who’d qualify [will be] the one to apply first. You have to make these tough choices because you just don't have enough money.
