At the 2023 Oscars Rihanna was dripping in diamonds and she wasn’t the only one.
made a bid for the highest number of carats of diamonds on the night. The star walked the red carpet in supersized gems from Moussaieff before changing into dramatic layers of De Beers for her performance of “Lift Me Up”.
At the other end of the spectrum, Andrea Riseborough and Lenny Kravitz made a case for wearing daytime jewels to the most glamorous event of the year. Riseborough made a statement in a punky Alexander McQueen silver ear cuff with nary a diamond in sight, while Kravitz took to the stage in his customary layered chains and crucifixes on a bare chest. Sometimes the strongest statement is the simplest one.
