Since its inception over 36 years ago, the top 20 highest ever National Lottery prizes claimed by Lotto winners soar from over €15.65 million to over €175 million
The National Lottery is celebrating a major milestone after a lucky player from Co Cork became the 1,000th Lotto millionaire.
The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but in the draw on July 6, the National Lottery added a guaranteed to be won €1 million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund. The Cork player purchased their winning ticket at Dunnes Stores in Charleville on the day of the draw to become the 19th National Lottery millionaire of 2024 and the 1,000th Lotto millionaire overall.
The largest cheque to ever be seen in the famous Winners’ Room was worth over a staggering €175 million after Reilly's Daybreak on the Main Street in the Naul, Co. Dublin sold the largest EuroMillions prize ever to be seen in Ireland in February 2019.
