Boasting a pretty unforgettable title, this could become the comedy of 2023
A first trailer has hit the web for, the new comedy movie from Borat and Curb Your Enthusiasm director Larry Charles.Based on the off-Broadway musical F*****g Identical Twins from Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson, the pair star in the film as two self-obsessed businessmen who learn they are actually long-lost identical twins.Following the discovery, the estranged brothers decide to come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents .
Described by its distributor A24 - who have been behind several modern classics including Everything Everywhere All At Once and Hereditary - as"riotously funny and depraved", Dicks: The Musical also stars SNL's Bowen Yang and rapper Megan Thee Stallion. And as you can probably guess from the title, the movie is aimed squarely at adults - having already been handed an R rating in the US for"strong crude sexual content, graphic nudity, pervasive language and brief drug use".The film does not have an Irish release date but will be released over in the States on 29 September.
Starring Gayle Rankin , Hari Nef and Annabelle Dexter-Jones , Bad Things will be available to watch on Shudder from 18 August.Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman are among the cast of this dark comedy thriller which sees a money-laundering scheme accidentally turn a hitman into an overnight avant-garde art sensation.AdvertisementJigsaw returns once again in this tenth entry in the long-running horror franchise which will land in Irish cinemas on 29 September.
Moving onto TV, the best official MCU series to date returns for its second season on Disney+ on 6 October.Last but not least, this series coming to Netflix on 24 August follows a mother, wife and teacher named Erin living the expat dream until a robbery in a supermarket reveals that she is more than meets the eye.
