It has emerged that the under-fire FAI chief provided the organisation with a €100,000 cheque in April 2017
A surge of money has seen the odds on John Delaney leaving his role with the FAI before the end of the year tumble from 14/1 to Evens.And a statement issued by the FAI has said that the loan was required to aid cash flow and was repaid in full.
Delaney is due to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport in April and is set to be grilled on a number of issues.Paddy Power's Rachael Kane said: "With news of a whistleblower reporting a number of other allegations about governance at the FAI, it seems people are starting to think John could be in trouble.
