The UK agreed to host the competition after it was announced this year's winner Ukraine is unable to hold the contest due to the current conflict..
However, Ukraine's 2023 entry will automatically qualify for the Grand Final alongside the so-called Big Five – the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain – which each gets a free pass due to their financial contributions to the event.
