The Road to Oz: More and More Irish People Dream of Heading Down Under

anniversary, The Immigration Agency based in Dublin put together a special survey focusing on Irish people emigrating to Australia. The survey discovered that when it comes to deciding whether to make the big move down under, 85 percent of the participants said they would “happily” leave with 58 percent admitting that they felt there were better job opportunities for them in Oz.

“We are seeing more and more families and couples make the move to Australia” said CEO of The Immigration Agency, Mege Dalton. “A lot of these people are employed, have kids in school and own property. They tell me they want to make the move for a better lifestyle and better opportunities for themselves and their children.”“For our young single clients, who made up nearly 50% of our survey, Sydney is still the city of choice” said agency owner and business partner John Dalton.preparing to take the yellow brick road from Dublin to the Emerald cities of Australia. The participants were also asked what one thing they’d love to bring to with them abroad. The most popular answer was of course the beloved mobile with laptops and iPads coming in at a close second.
