🎵 TheSherlocks are tuning up Lincoln's Jolly Brewer for an exciting comeback! 🍻
when they relaunch a popular Lincoln pub with a local entrepreneur.The South Yorkshire indie band have teamed up with Adam Fields, who runs The Victoria pub in Lincoln, and they plan to open The Jolly Brewer in early September.
Adam and The Sherlocks now hope to make The Jolly Brewer the"best live music pub in the centre of Lincoln".Brandon said:"We have always wanted to do something like this and have been talking about it for years. Lincoln gets overlooked a lot and we want to make it somewhere that's the home for upcoming bands and music in the city. We are passionate about helping upcoming bands.
Co-owner Adam:"We want to put our own stamp on it. We will still keep the spirit of the Brewer alive but will make changes."We want to provide a grassroots venue for up and coming artists. What we established up at The Vic is live music Wednesday to Sunday and we are excited about the prospect of becoming the gatekeepers of this important venue.
When the pub was previously called The Jolly Brewer, it was well known for its live music. It then changed hands and name to Bentley's Bar, but the building has been vacant since January 2023.and help to enhance Lincoln's music scene. The new owners of the pub also want to turn the outside of The Jolly Brewer into a music venue in its own right with a pop-up bar.
