The website for Irish women

Her.ie has paired up with Bio-Oil to find out how the women of Ireland feel about their bodies. We want you to participate in our survey to be entered in a prize draw for the chance to win a One4All voucher worth €100, and ten runners up will win a 60ml bottle of Bio-Oil to keep their skin in glowing condition too.My skin is entirely unremarkable. Occasionally spotty, occasionally clear, sometimes lightly tanned, sometimes milky white. .

One has been there as long as I can remember. It’s two inches long and quite deep, and it sits on the inner side of my right leg. As a child I was cycling my first bike at furious speed, when a spoke popped out and slit my leg. In hindsight, and given the scar, I should have been brought for stitches, but I just kept cycling. Band-aid, they said. Be grand, they said. The second is a tiny scar under my left breast where I had a mole removed.

After years of not seeing any improvements, I finally went to the doctor who put me onto a pill that controlled my hormones and finally I started to see some results. In the space of six months, my spots had disappeared although I was still left with some purple marks and scars on my skin. To get rid of these, I started using Bio-Oil which helped to balance my skin tone and reduce the intensity of scarring. At the age of 18, I got my clear skin and confidence back.

I’m no professional masseuse but after a few weeks of simple massages to the feet, it was clear that there was an obvious difference. The skin on his feet began to feel baby soft, he felt more at ease and was able to get up and walk more. There was less of a worn look to his legs and no doubt he seemed happier at the comfort and release of tension!Since a child, I’ve had mild eczema. It’s not harsh by any means but it tends to flare up in times of stress, or whenever it feels like it really.
