The 10 top things to do in Blackpool, according to TripAdvisor
A trip to Blackpool and a stroll along its sunny promenade is must for most of us at some point in the summer months.
To get there, follow the M6 to junction 32 and take the M55 to junction 4, and follow the ‘brown elephant’ signs to its location, which has the postcode FY3 8PP. Blackpool North Station is a five minute walk from the town centre, where buses or taxis will take you to the zoo. You can take a fascinating heritage tram during the school holidays and at weekends until Bonfire Night, with trams operating between the world famous Pleasure Beach and North Pier. And it goes without saying that it’s a fantastic way to view the town’s illustrious Blackpool Illuminations in the Autumn, with a chance to take a trip on an illuminated tram.
An incredible feature is the Skywalk, a 380ft trip to the top of Blackpool Tower where you can walk out onto the five centimetre thick glass viewing platform and see out onto the Irish Sea, the North West of England over to Bowland and up the Lake District and, on a clear day, down to Liverpool and across to the Isle of Man.
