"The lads should have been putting themselves forward a little bit more. " While she may not have gotten a lot of screen time, Saoirse’s murder certainly caused a lot of commotion in The Traitors on Sunday night.
But Saoirse may be best known for calling out the “boys’ club” that appears to be forming in the Castle.
“I made the comment in the coffin too, I was like, ‘Of course they picked the big muscly man over the three girls,’ but there’s actually four girls,” she tells us. “I think Paraic and Ian said while they were in the coffin, ‘Oh, it’s fine. He has my back. I’m chilling’.
It was just frustrating that it was the assumption that the lads would pick the lads, and the girls were being left aside.here was a lot of that conversation ongoing on the first challenge, where we were trying to decide who’s going to put themselves up to shackle themselves,” she explains, adding that they were running out of time because no one wanted to sacrifice themselves.
“No lads were doing that, and we were like, ‘Oh, here it’s all been girls,’ and then the reason was like ‘Oh, well they’ve all chosen to,’ but like it’s just in our nature. The lads should have been putting themselves forward a little bit more. ” She concludes: “It was just frustrating. You could tell the lads had the lads’ backs and not the girls’. ”
