Five star hotels, according to Forbes in its 65th annual Star Awards, are 'outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities.'
Both Adare Manor in Limerick and Ashford Castle in Galway received five-star ratings by the magazine, as part of their Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners.
