I HAVE been asked many times why the Rapera movement I’m involved in focuses on nurturing thinking and compassionate citizens called “Rapera” – which stands for “rakyat penyelamat negara”.
For almost two decades, a growing group of like-minded Malaysians have been discussing and promoting the idea that the values of thinking and compassion are fundamental to creating and sustaining a civilised society. These values will also ensure that true nation-building is possible so that every Malaysian will have a rightful place under the sun.
