The show was 6 years in the makingare officially back and this year they are better than ever. Candice Swanepoel, Tyra Banks, Adrianna Lima and the Hadid sisters were among a few returning favourites. With some newbies debuting on the infamous runway as well – Lila Moss did us so proud.
Victoria Secret’s had one major priority for this show – to address the one thing that they have consistently lacked over the years: inclusion. However, we all know that the majority of people do not look like this and it is promoting an unrealistic body standard, for most people. Don’t get us wrong, these women are beautiful and work super hard in the industry. But maybe it’s time to see a few more realistic approaches in fashion.Over the years, many women have claimed that watching the show caused them to feel increasingly insecure about their own bodies.
