— Joe Biden is turning 80 this weekend, but the big bash at the White House will be for a more youthful occasion: Naomi Biden, the president’s oldest granddaughter, is set to marry Peter Neal on the White House South Lawn on Saturday.Naomi Biden, 28, is the eldest of the three daughters of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, who divorced in 2017. She is named for her father’s sister, who was killed in a 1972 car crash along with their mother, Neilia.
She received a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and a law degree from Columbia in 2020. She was a Senate page as a teenager and also had internships at Tom Ford and Creative Artists Agency.Peter Neal, 25, works at the Georgetown University Law Center on National Security. He has a bachelor’s degree in political communications from George Washington University and a law degree, received this year, from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is one of four siblings. His eldest brother, Willie, was also an elite youth skier and in 2009, at age 19, was killed when he was struck by a car while roller-skiing near a training center in Maine. Willie had been an intern to Sen. John Kerry and at age 18 was Wyoming’s delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
