“Obviously I teach primary school kids so I’m not sure if they fully understand the strikes, but the parents have been really supportive. We don’t want their children to miss any more education. We know it’s been tough, but at the end of the day if we don’t make this stand now and it doesn’t get any better, there will be fewer teachers left for the children. So it’s for them.
“I know that this is an incredibly hard time right now and it is really not an easy decision to make to have to lose a day’s pay, but we don’t get anything unless we stand together.
