The FAI is giving its support to eight clubs that are applying for money under the Government’s Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Funding scheme.

Eight League of Ireland clubs have lodged applications with the Department of Sport for a slice of a €120m bonanza under the Government’s Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Funding scheme.

The FAI has also confirmed that a joint funding application with the IRFU has been made to the Department for support through the fund for sustainable renewable energy upgrade work at the Aviva Stadium. “We are extremely grateful to the Government for creating these opportunities of funding streams which demonstrates their ambitious vision for sport and football nationally.
