Wexford manager Keith Rossiter said he was shocked at the state of the pitch at UPMC Nowlan Park after the Bruce Springsteen concert.
“But it is what it is, we would have gladly played in Wexford Park, which is a good sod at the minute, but I don’t think Kilkenny were going to change that. However, the offence was clearly committed outside the penalty area though it didn’t appear to cover the black card/penalty rule for cynical fouls as referee Liam Gordon didn’t send Ryan to the sin bin.
