The car entered the water at Menlo Pier in Galway at around 2.40am on Saturday
A third teenager has passed away in hospital after the car he was in entered the water in Galway in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Two of the crash victims who were died earlier on Saturday were named locally as 16-year-old John Keenan, who was a promising young boxer with Olympic Boxing Club in Galway, and 17-year-old Wojcieck Panek. Gardai are continuing to investigate the single-vehicle crash and an appeal has been launched for witnesses or anyone with information to contact gardai.
