The website for Irish women
Smell Dating was launched just this week in New York, and the singletons who sign up for the trend simply have to let their hormones do the work.
But before you go around sniffing people’s armpits, or reading about a hint of musk in a dating profile, there’s a strange catch. After you sign up to the app and pay your registration fee, daters will be sent a brand new t-shirt in the post to wear for three days straight. While you’re told to avoid perfumes or deodorants which may overpower your natural smell, odours such as cigarette smoke or cooking smells are allowed to reflect your personal lifestyle habits.
After the three days, you simply send your t-shirt back and the company in turn sends you 10 smelly samples, each belonging to a potential suitor. After you sniff each shirt, you take your pick and if they reciprocate your smell satisfaction, phone numbers are exchanged through the agency.
