"While I don't think social media is good for mental health, it's incredible what it has done for alternative medicine. People love watching people do ice baths, it's like everyone's guilty pleasure," Leary says with a laugh. "And if 1 percent of those actually do an ice bath, that's nuts, that's so cool. I lose my mind.
He says the pandemic also really brought the importance of health into perspective for many people. "For the whole world at one time to be told, 'If you're high risk, you can die,' I think that shifted everything," Leary says.
